Update: The video download service is now live! It is accessible to all North American consumers through the PlayStation Store, either via PC or PlayStation 3. As we mentioned in the original article — content purchased is fully portable, meaning you can playback these videos on both your PS3 and PSP.
Original Story: Sony has released details on its upcoming PlayStation movie and TV download store. Launching later tonight, the service will offer content from a number of partners, including Fox, MGM, Lions Gate, Warner, Disney, Paramount, Turner, and Funimation.
Consumers will be able to purchase content in both standard and High-definition quality. Pricing will range from $9.99 to $14.99 for full-on purchases, while video rentals will cost $2.99 to $3.99.
Content will be fully portable. After purchasing a video you’ll be able to play it on multiple devices at the same time.
