Update: Added the first direct-feed gameplay trailer.
This was expected. Nintendo’s just announced Animal Crossing: City Folk at its E3 conference.
According to series creator Katsuya Eguchi, the title will ship for Wii this year, alongside a microphone attachment dubbed WiiSpeak, which allows players to talk amongst their friends live over the internet.
Nintendo showed a video of the game on-screen, showcasing the game’s interactive towns. Graphically, it looks similar to the original GameCube Animal Crossing, but the environments — specifically in-door locales, look much more detailed.
