In partnership with British broadcaster Sky, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced that the Go!View video download service for PSP has officially gone live.

Starting today, European PSP owners can purchase a wide range of television shows and movies for their handheld on a rental basis at £1.50 and £2.50, respectively. Alternatively, users can subscribe to Comedy, Sport and Entertainment Packs on a monthly payment plan, which starts at £5 for a single pack, £8 for two, and £10 for all three.

For a limited time only, those who register at the Go!View site now will receive a free month’s subscription. The selection is a bit lacking right now, but expect more content to be added once the initial launch phase has passed.
