Wii Hard Drive Would Be “Awesome,” Says de Blob Dev

Speaking in a recent interview, Nick Hagger, lead producer for THQ’s paint-spattered puzzle title de Blob, remarked that it would be “awesome” if Nintendo released a licensed Wii hard drive peripheral, echoing comments made by Harmonix design director Rob Kay in reference to the Wii’s lack of internal storage capacity.

It’s always good to have more storage space available, but we didn’t need it for de Blob. I think it would be awesome if there was an HDD for the Wii; there are loads of things we could do with it. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

We tend to agree. Nintendo’s official stance is that they’re currently mulling over a storage space solution. Whether that means we’ll get a hard drive add-on soon or not is anyone’s guess at this point, though we’ll remain hopeful for an announcement at E3.
