Rockstar Games has released a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5. The video consists of a quick look at each of the upcoming game’s three main characters, providing a bit of background information on who these dudes are and vaguely letting is in on exactly why they’re entering a crazy life of crime like we’ve seen past series protagonists engage in.

First up, we’ve got Michael, a rich dude who feels he’s missing something. He’s got a wife and kids, but still, there’s just no sense of excitement. So what better way to get some excitement than to participate in a bunch of wild felonies?

Second, we see Franklin, a gangster who seems to want to get out of the dangerous lifestyle. Thankfully, this is a video game, so his story won’t go that boring route, and it looks like he’ll be doing plenty of blasting and robbing.

Last is Trevor, probably the most interesting of the three characters. The guy’s an over-the-top redneck who seems to enjoy doing stupid things. Trevor appears to be legitimately funny, even if he is a total sleaze ball.
