Developer Muteki Corporation is currently working on porting its old school influenced mobile RPG Dragon Fantasy to the PlayStation Network. Series creator Adam Rippon confirmed the news in a statement to Destructoid during PAX East.

Dragon Fantasy will feature cross-buy and cross-save functionality when it lands on the PlayStation Network sometime this month. The game’s four chapters and eight main characters will remain intact from the original 2011 release, though the overall product will sport revamped 16-bit graphics.

In addition to the first Dragon Fantasy, a direct sequel titled Dragon Fantasy 2 will also be available on the PlayStation 3 and Vita. That game is expected to land on Sony’s download platform in the near future, as well.
