Capcom today announced that Lost Planet 3 will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on June 25 in North America. The game was previously scheduled for an early 2013 launch, but it is instead headed toward an early summer release. Europe will get the game a few days later on June 28.

Pre-order bonuses for Lost Planet 3 have also been revealed on the Capcom blog. GameStop and EB Games retailers will offer the Freedom Fighter Pack, which includes five exclusive multiplayer characters and two rig upgrades. Amazon pre-orders include the Punisher Pack, which consists of three exclusive weapons and two rig upgrades. Last, Best Buy pre-orders will come bundled with the Assault Pack, which also features three unique weapons and two rig upgrades of its own.

It should be noted that Lost Planet 3 is a prequel set before the events of the first game. So yeah, don’t let the name confuse you.
