Thomas Was Alone

Last year, developer Mike Bithell released the incredible Thomas Was Alone, a puzzle-platformer that revolves around the theme of friendship. The game was remarkably enjoyably and offered fun gameplay, pretty visuals, and great sound. Bithell has announced on the PlayStation Blog that Thomas Was Alone will be available on the PlayStation Network this spring.

The game will be downloadable across both the PlayStation 3 and Vita. Bithell has confirmed that it will be a cross-buy title, so if you buy Thomas Was Alone once, you’ll have both versions. The Vita version will use the portable’s touchscreen, allowing you to switch characters with ease and move the camera around.

Combined with a pleasant minimalist art style and magnificent soundtrack, Thomas Was Alone was held in high regard by plenty of folks and delivered a heartwarming tale about forming bonds. It was definitely one of the best indie games of 2012, so it’s great to see it getting multiplatform support on the PlayStation 3 and Vita.
