PSPWrite v1.0.5

by Mike Bendel on June 15, 2008 @ 8:56 pm

Homebrew developer Zx-81 has released an update to PSPWrite, a simple yet powerful text editor that allows users to edit any ASCII plain-text file on the PSP. Files can be modified via a wireless IR keyboard or the included Danzeff virtual keyboard.

In addition to all-new application graphics and EBOOT music, version 1.0.5 fixes an IR keyboard compatibility issue that arose with the release of custom firmware 3.80 M33 and automatically reduces the PSP’s CPU clock to 133MHz upon launch to save on battery life.

The complete changelog can be found after the break.

* New graphics based on hackePeter’s work
* Add EBOOT music
* The virtual keyboard is now usable in the file requester menu
* Fix IR keyboard issue with firmware >= 3.80 for PSP FAT
* Reduce default PSP clock speed (133 Mhz is good enough to write text)
