Watch Dogs - PS4, Wii U

During yesterday’s PlayStation 4 reveal, Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot announced that Watch Dogs would be available on the PlayStation 4. It’s hard to call the announcement shocking because we were all kind of expecting that to be the case. This is especially true considering the rumors were leaked all over the internet.

The PlayStation 4 won’t be the only new platform where Watch Dogs brings its brand of open world action-adventure espionage, though. As confirmed via a press release sent out yesterday, the upcoming game from Ubisoft will also be available on the Wii U.

It’s good to see Nintendo’s current home platform getting such a highly anticipated third-party game. Personally, I’m excited to see what Ubisoft can do with the GamePad considering Watch Dogs is centered around hacking and using crazy devices to spy on other people. While a different studio may be in charge of this project, ZombiU proved that Ubisoft can do some awesome things with the GamePad. Let’s hope that continues here.

Watch Dogs is due out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and PC later this year.
