Knack - PS4

One of the many games announced during yesterday’s PlayStation 4 press event was Knack. The title was revealed by industry veteran Mark Cerny, or as I like to call him, Mr. Smug.

We didn’t get to see actual gameplay footage, but if Knack looks anything like its reveal trailer, I’d say that’s a pretty sharp looking project. You play as a small little dude who’s tasked with the overwhelming goal of saving Earth. No biggie, right?

I’m a sucker for old school colorful action-adventure games, and Sony may be attempting to pull at PlayStation fans’ nostalgic heartstrings with this one. Knack certainly looks like something that would’ve fit right in during the launch of the original PlayStation and PlayStation 2.

For those of you unfamiliar with Cerny’s work, the dude’s quite the prolific contributor to the industry and has a huge resume. His past projects include Crash Bandicoot, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and God of War 3, to name a few.

I really hope Knack turns out to be something special. Check out the announcement trailer below.
