Rumor: Sony Working On “Break Apart” Motion Sensing Controller For PS3

by Mike Bendel on June 13, 2008 @ 10:15 am

According to a GI.biz piece, Sony is working on a Wiimote-inspired controller for the PlayStation 3, complete with motion sensing functionality and the ability to break in two separate units.

Working, fully functional units of the device have already been sent to development studios, allegedly. There’s been no word on when an official announcement will be made and company spokespersons have declined to comment.

The site reckons that a full reveal at E3 is a possibility, though.
