Sony Confirms PSP redesign

SCE UK managing director Ray Maguire has confirmed that a “smaller, lighter” iteration of the PSP handheld is on its way. Details aside from a reduction in size and weight were not given, however, he assured that there would be no change in screen size.
Update: Head of PR at SCE UK, David Wilson, has downplayed Maguire’s statement by saying that the comments by Maguire had been blown out of proportion and that there are no immediate changes planned for the PSP.
Regardless, with all the stir these rumors have cause over at Sony, it’s obvious a redesign is coming eventually, but not anytime soon.
