Rumor: Robomodo Working On Next Tony Hawk, Neversoft Not
by Mike Bendel on June 4, 2008 @ 10:59 am

According to Giant Bomb’s latest podcast, which is hosted by ex-GameSpot staffers Jeff Gerstmann and Ryan Davis, Chicago-based studio Robomodo is handling development duties on the next entry in Activision’s Tony Hawk series, presumably to allow Neversoft to focus on the Guitar Hero series.
The move would fit in line with Activision’s ambitious “innovation” plans for the franchise. Interestingly, Robomodo mentions on its official site that it is working on an unnamed project for Activision.
A new Tony Hawk title is scheduled hit the Nintendo DS this year, with a release on consoles following in Activision’s fiscal 2010 year, which begins April 1, 2009. If the rumor is to be believed, it’s not yet clear which platform(s) Robomodo is handling development on.
