Insomniac founder and CEO Ted Price has revealed that the company plans to expand next year by opening an all-new development studio based in North Carolina.
According to Price, Insomniac is currently seeking office space and plans to officially open the location in January 2009. Art director Chad Dezern will head the studio, while gameplay lead Shaun McCabe is poised to serve as production director.
Both employees will move to North Carolina this fall following the completion of Insomniac’s highly-anticipated PlayStation 3 shooter Resistance 2. All in all, the company expects to hire an estimated number of 25 to 30 developers at the new studio.
