D6 Guitar Hero: World Tour Showing Goes Sour

by Mike Bendel on May 28, 2008 @ 11:01 pm

Publisher Activision demoed the next main installment in the Guitar Hero series at The Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital D6 conference in California this week, with company CEO Bobby Kotick in attendance to introduce the title and professional skateboarder Tony Hawk on stage to play guitar.

Suffice to say, the whole event went sour and descended into a spiral of awkwardness before the oft-maligned Paula Abdul even came on stage. Mainly because the WSJ spokesperson mixed up Guitar Hero: World Tour with another game, a game that apparently doesn’t exist in Kotick’s world. We kid you not. See for yourself in the clip.

LOL irl

That was just funny.

First off, pretending that Rock Band wasn't in existence, was just comical.

Not to mention Tony Hawk looking like a robot, missing every other note Haha.

And Paula, with her off tempo hand clapping.. a classic.

Was a good laugh indeed.
