Publisher Yuke’s Company of America announced today that it has obtained certification from Microsoft to release an original title dubbed “Double D Dodgeball” on Xbox Live Arcade.
Set in a futuristic world inhabited by robotic type creatures, the title will feature multiplayer support for up to eight players over Xbox Live, online leaderboards, four ball types, and four core gameplay modes: Exhibition, Player Match, Ranked Match and Tournament. Wait, why is the phrase “double D” a part of the game’s title again?
Anyways, dodgeball players will also have the option of choosing between pre-defined Eastern and Western rule sets, as detailed in the release after the break. The title will cost 800 Microsoft Points when it hits later this summer.
