Lanning Confirms New Oddworld Title

Following comments made by Maxis co-founder Jeff Braun last week at Wilfrid Laurier University, Oddworld Inhabitants president Lorne Lanning has confirmed that a new title based on the Oddworld series is in the works.
Lanning wasn’t ready to splurge on details, though, noting that “I can confirm that we’re working with Jeff on Oddworld stuff, but that’s all I can say at this time.”
The Oddworld series, focused on puzzle-platforming elements, was originally planned to be released as a quintology. The idea was later scrapped after the release of the second title, Munch’s Oddysee, due to the company’s renewed focus towards film production rather than game development. However, numerous Oddworld titles not part of the original quintology have been released since then, the most recent being Stranger’s Wrath for Xbox in 2005.
