Afrika Denied European Release, For Now

by Mike Bendel on May 27, 2008 @ 10:06 am

A Sony Computer Entertainment Europe spokesperson has confirmed that it will not publish Rhino Studios’ forthcoming “safari-simulator” Afrika in European territories, according to a Eurogamer report.

Initially announced during E3 2006, a coming soon teaser page for Afrika was recently launched on the company’s Japanese website. Little is known about the title thus far, but from looking at the released screenshots it does appear to be a photography game in the vein of Pokemon Snap — except with, you know, real wildlife.

Note that this does not rule out another publisher picking up the title for a European release in the future. A North American release has yet to be announced.
