Earlier today, IGN reported that the upcoming Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon would feature local multiplayer. The little niblet of information was revealed on Nintendo’s official website for the 3DS title, but it has since been removed. Hmm … Kind of weird, I suppose.

“With so many new places to explore, all new ways to capture ghosts, and a brand new local multiplayer mode, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is another star turn for Mario’s heroic brother — and it’s only on Nintendo 3DS,” read the description for Dark Moon. The “local multiplayer” part was later dropped.

It’s strange that Nintendo would change its product listing. That being said, this isn’t the first time a video game company has changed its description of an upcoming title. We’re sure to get more info in the near future, or at the very least, closer to the launch of Dark Moon.
