Developer Gearbox Software has announced that Aliens: Colonial Marines has officially gone gold on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. What this means is that the game will land on those platforms on February 12 as previously announced. Yay for punctuality!

The upcoming space-themed FPS definitely looks like it could be a winner. The potential’s certainly there, and Gearbox has what it takes to deliver a hell of an action experience if Borderlands 2 is any indication.

If all goes as planned and nothing gets in the way, we’ll have Aliens: Colonial Marines at retailers and on download platforms in less than a month. So, anyone picking this up at launch?
