The beloved Sega Saturn classic NiGHTS into Dreams was at the receiving end of its very own HD makeover not too long ago. The game launched on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, giving its fans another reason to jump back into its dream world — a dream world that now sports finer visuals rife with lush colors that pop out at you.

In addition to these two platforms, NiGHTS into Dreams has just landed on Steam. You can download the game now for $9.99, which puts it on par with the console versions. This iteration of the Saturn original includes Steam Achievements, leaderboards, Christmas Nights content (fitting for the holidays), and more.

NiGHTS into Dreams has always been the kind of game that has a distinct “arcadey” feel to it. The gameplay isn’t so much riveting as it is just plain satisfying. It’s cool to be able to fly around colorful environments, and for folks who do want to get competitive, there are leaderboards and ranks to play around with. Personally, I prefer my experiences with the series to be more cathartic than anything else.
