Developer Just Add Water has announced that Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD will be playable on the Vita on December 18. Well, it was about time, wasn’t it?

The updated remake of this popular action title has been available on the PlayStation 3 for just under a year now, so it’s great to see it get the portable treatment on the Vita. Sadly, the game won’t support cross-buy or cross-play features, so if you already own the game on PlayStation 3 and want to take it with you on the go, you’ll have to buy it all over again.

If you don’t already own Stranger’s Wrath HD, though, and you’d like to take it for a spin, perhaps the Vita version is the way to go. Either way, that’s another solid title that will soon be available on Sony’s handheld.
