The Vita firmware 2.00 update launched today, and with it comes an improved web browsing experience. According to a tweet from Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida, players will no longer have to quit their games in order to use the browser. Not too shabby, eh?

Of course, that’s not the only positive modification that the web app is undergoing. Yoshida continued that the browser will also be faster. It’s great to see some subtle but useful changes coming to the Vita’s functions as a result of firmware 2.00.

It doesn’t end with slick browser alterations, though. As reported last week, PlayStation Plus for Vita is also a major perk of the latest firmware update. That means subscribers will have access to cloud storage, automatic updates, Trophy syncing, and more.
