It was expected. Wii Fit is the new Wii Sports. According to internal sales data from retailer Woolworths, the exercise bundle is selling at a speedy rate of 90 copies per minute across the UK.
Company trading manager Gerry Berkley called the title a “revolution in computer gaming,” noting his surprise at the hefty sales numbers. The retail chains expects to completely sell out of the title by tomorrow morning.
Wii Fit launched in Europe today and is scheduled to hit North America on May 19 at a retail price of $89.99.
