SCi Entertainment, parent company of Tomb Raider publisher Eidos, today announced that it has formed a “strategic partnership” with Warner Bros. Under the arrangement, Warner will purchase £15 million in new shares, effectively doubling its stake in the company to 20 percent.

Speaking on the announcement, SCi CEO Phil Rogers commented, “Today we have significantly strengthened our relationship with Warner Bros. one of the world’s largest media groups, to create an exciting strategic partnership, giving us increased scale in the North American market, to the benefit of all our major franchises.”

On a related note, SCi said the development of Tomb Raider: Underworld “remains encouraging” and is on track for a slightly less vague release window of Christmas 2008.
