Not long after we picked up on a promotional poster that made mention of a Spring 2013 launch window for GTA V, Rockstar has went ahead and officially confirmed the news.

“Grand Theft Auto V builds on everything we’ve learned about open world game design,” said Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser. “We can’t wait to share it with fans.”

Not surprisingly, the PC version went nary a mention in this announcement. That means the game is headed to PS3 and Xbox 360 only, at least initially.
