Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that it will launch its Go!View video download service for PSP this summer in European territories. In partnership with British broadcasting company Sky, the service will offer a wide range of high-quality TV and movies, which PSP owners can playback directly from the comfort of their handheld.

Pricing details have yet to revealed, but it is expected that SCEE will deliver content through a subscription-based and pay-per-view plan. PSP owners can pre-register for the service now over at the official Go! website.

There’s been no official word on if SCEA plans to bring a similar service stateside.

Finally, some form of 1-Seg capability in Europe!

I'm actually quite glad (being a Brit) that we are getting this before America.

We always get things ALOT later than anywhere else, so this feels like Sony giving us something back.
