Despite previous plans of releasing the Hostage Negotiation Map Pack for Max Payne 3 in September, last month came and went and Rockstar Games wasn’t able to get the DLC out for fans of its gritty third-person shooter. The company is planning on announcing the new release date for the Hostage Negotation DLC, which includes quite a bit of new content for Max Payne 3‘s multiplayer component.

The add-on will feature four new maps: Club Moderno, Estadio do Galatians, O Palacio Strip Club, and Favela Heights. Additionally, there will also be two new weapons, the M24 sniper rifle and IA2 assault rifle. As far as items are concerned, there will be a new Explosive Burst item for booby trapping bodies; an Intimidation Mask to slow down enemy reload times; and the new Bomb Suit to protect players against explosive damage. To top it all off, Rockstar is also adding the Filhos De Ogum avatar faction.

The Hostage Negotiation content will be available through the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network, and PC for $9.99 (or 800 Microsoft Points). Rockstar Pass owners will be able to snag the DLC without paying an extra dime. Rockstar apologized for the delay and stated that Social Club members can expect a free update that introduces all-new chrome weapons.
