Ratchet & Clank Collection has landed, and it’s a hit. Collecting the first three entries in Insomniac’s action platformer series, the compilation has managed to bring the nostalgia for longtime fans while introducing newcomers to something truly enjoyable.

Prior to the release of Ratchet & Clank Collection, however, a lot of folks wondered what the heck was going on with Ratchet: Deadlocked. Would the game be included in the set? Would it be released subsequently? Were gamers destined to never see Deadlocked again?

Worry not, gamers. Joystiq has reported that Deadlocked is currently planned for a PlayStation Network re-release later this year. The initial announcement was made by Insomniac’s Steve Johnson at PAX Prime over the weekend. Developer Idol Minds is handling the port of the multiplayer shooter.

Now that Deadlocked has been confirmed, a lot of minds should be at ease. Well, except for all those impatient gamers who want to know exactly when the game is coming to the PlayStation Network. Sorry, folks, but you’ll have to wait for that news.
