Rockstar Games has sent word that its Social Club website is now officially open for free pre-registration. Announced last month, the community-oriented site is slated to open for business day and date with the release of Grand Theft Auto IV, April 29. Planned features for the site include a multitude of competitions and challenges, detailed leaderboards, and awards.

Beyond the scope of GTA IV, Rockstar plans to extend the Social Club experience to upcoming titles such as Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Additionally, those who register now before the official opening date on April 29 will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes geared towards the hardcore GTA fan. One lucky grand prize winner will have their portrait drawn by Rockstar Games’ in-house art team in the signature art style of Grand Theft Auto IV’s illustrations.
