PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is due out on October 23, but gamers will get the chance to play a pre-launch build of the game this fall. As announced on the PlayStation Blog, the public beta for PlayStation All-Stars will grant fans the chance to check out the game ahead of time, which is pretty cool.

A specific date wasn’t announced by developer SuperBot Entertainment President Chan Park, but he did specify that PlayStation Plus subscribers would have earlier access to the public beta. Sony will undoubtedly release more info on PlayStation All-Stars as the game nears launch, which is actually not too far off following the beginning of the fall season.

In addition to news of the public beta, the next major announcement regarding the game’s roster is set to take place at Gamescom in Germany on August 15. Earlier this week, the roster and stage selection in PlayStation All-Stars was leaked, which Park briefly addressed and referred to as “unexpected and unintended.”
