Capcom announced that it was re-releasing an HD remake of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure at this year’s Comic-Con. The game was originally released in arcades, and it eventually made its way to the PlayStation and Dreamcast.

Based on the manga of the same name, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure featured offbeat characters and fast-paced fighting. Now it looks like the 2D fighter will be headed to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network on August 21 and August 22, respectively. The digital download will sport a price tag of 1600 Microsoft Points/$19.99.

Now, don’t let this reveal confuse you. A brand new game based on the series, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, is currently in development by CyberConnect2, but that title is being published by Namco Bandai. Additionally, that one’s only been confirmed for North America so far.
