Dragon Quest V DS Hits July 17 In Japan

RPG powerhouse Square Enix has announced that the DS remake of Dragon Quest V is scheduled for a July 17 release in Japan. Expect this entry in the series to sell through a million copies shortly after its debut, just like every other major DQ title released in Japan thus far.
Also, don’t expect any word on a North American release anytime soon, considering that Square Enix has yet to officially announce Dragon Quest IV DS for a stateside release — even though various discoveries have hinted at a possible release in North America and Europe for that matter.
