High Moon Developing Game Based on Marvel’s Hit-Monkey

Activision has announced that it will be publishing Hit-Monkey, a game based on Marvel Comics’ series of the same name. Specific platform and launch details are currently under wraps, but the upcoming title will be available sometime in 2013, reports GameInformer.

Developer High Moon Studios is working on the project, and it should prove interesting seeing what the company comes up with. In the past, High Moon has developed games that received reviews from mixed to positive, and it has critically successful titles such as Darkwatch and Transformers: War for Cybertron on its resume.

Despite my love of comic books, I’ve never actually read any Hit-Monkey. Still, the absurdity of a Japanese macaque who happens to be an assassin (the world’s greatest, according to Marvel) is certainly something that I find very appealing. Sadly, there’s no info on the official Hit-Monkey website, but here’s hoping Activision and High Moon reveal more in the near future.

Also, Deadpool cameo, please?
