New Motley Crue Single Hits Rock Band This Week

Harmonix and parent company MTV Games have announced that metal vets Motley Crue will debut their new single entitled “Saints of Los Angeles” through Rock Band later this week.
Starting tomorrow, the track will be available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace at a price point of 80 Microsoft Points ($0.99), while a PlayStation Network release will follow two days later on April 17.
The track is from Motley Crue’s forthcoming album, The Dirt, which is scheduled to hit store shelves in late June.

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that Mötley Crüe will be the first group to release a brand-new song as a playable track in the innovative ROCK BAND game. The highly anticipated new track, “Saints of Los Angeles,” released on Mötley Records, will be available for download for $0.99 beginning on April 15th via Xbox Live Marketplace (80 Microsoft Points) and on April 17th via the PLAYSTATION®Store.

With the addition of this track to the Rock Band library, there are now more than 80 tracks available for download in addition to the 58 tracks in the original game. In three months since its release, gamers have purchased more than 6 million downloadable songs for Rock Band since its launch on November 20, 2007.
Downloadable content for the Xbox 360 will be available via Xbox LIVE® Marketplace using Microsoft Points and is downloaded directly to the Xbox 360 hard drive. Downloadable content for the PLAYSTATION 3 system’s version of Rock Band will be available on the PLAYSTATION®Store through the free PLAYSTATION®Network and is downloaded directly to PLAYSTATION 3 system’s built in hard drive.
Rock Band is rated “T” for Teen (lyrics, mild suggestive themes) by the ESRB.
