Far Cry Gets Four-Player Co-Op Plus Extra Content on PS3

Ubisoft is really promoting the whole “insanity” theme in Far Cry 3. While we still don’t know loads about the game, it’s obvious there’s a recurring theme of craziness that the company wants us to take from the experience. Hey, that’s cool! I’m certain we’re all fans of crazy games … or games with crazy people in them … or, well, you get the idea.

To add to the chaotic vibe of Far Cry 3, Ubisoft announced today during its E3 presser that the game would feature four-player co-op. This mode won’t be cohesive with the single-player story mode, though. Instead, co-op in Far Cry 3 will feature its own string of missions which will feature multiple objectives throughout.

Additionally, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 3 would include a map editor, which is pretty cool. And to sweeten the deal for PlayStation 3 owners, the company confirmed that exclusive content would come to that version of the game. No details yet, but exclusive features are always welcome. This is certainly something to look forward to for multiplatform gamers and PlayStation 3 aficionados.
