Confirming rampant speculation, EA’s Peter Moore took to the stage at the company’s annual E3 press conference to announce Battlefield 3 Premium. Forking over $50 will net you access to five expansions that due for release over the next 9-10 months.

What’s the incentive? Purchasing each expansion individually will cost around $80, so in the end, you’ll save $30 by going all in. Additionally, EA is giving those that sign-up for Battlefield 3 Premium early access to all DLC, starting with Battlefield 3: Close Quarters.

The service is already live on PS3, with subscribers able to enjoy Close Quarters right now. PC and Xbox 360 enlistees will have to wait another week. Don’t you love timed DLC? At least it’s not a month gap like Call of Duty.
