If you’re a PlayStation 3 owner looking for an indie fix, or a PlayStation Vita adopter who wants to put those dual analog sticks to good use, you should definitely watch out for Big Sky: Infinity. Originally released for the PC as Really Big Sky, this indie twin-stick shooter will see some updates when it hits the PlayStation Network.

Developer Boss Baddie is teaming up with Voofoo Studios and Riptide Publishing to create the updated version of Really Big Sky, which will sport several new modes and all-new enemies. If it’s anything like the original, Big Sky: Infinity will probably be really, really tough. This is a space-themed bullet hell shooter, after all. The weak-willed need not apply.

No word on when Big Sky: Infinity will launch on the PlayStation Network, but we can probably expect the price to be similar to the PC version, which is currently $9.99. Oh, what’s that? Look! It’s a Steam sale! Really Big Sky is only $2.50 right now. I’d say go for it if extra stuff doesn’t entice you. Me, I’ll be waiting to play the game on my PlayStation 3.
