One of the most well-received titles in RTS history is getting the sequel treatment. According to a scan from the pages of PC Gamer UK, Relic is working on Company of Heroes 2. According to the mag, it’s set across “13 of the 15 bloodiest battles” during World War II. Locales include Stalingrad, Smolensk, Kursk and Moscow.

Bucking a common trend of simply making changes to appeal to a wider audience, Relic is aiming to please fans first and foremost, noting that it has “resisted the temptation to shoehorn needless modes and mini-games in where they’re not welcome.” Lead designer Quinn Duffy added that “We want more authenticity, we want more realism, we want more tactical improvements.”
