HD-DVD Maintenance Update Hits Live

Lucky (well, maybe not so lucky) owner of an Xbox 360 HD-DVD add-on drive? Provided that you are signed into the Live service, you’ll be automatically prompted to update the drive’s firmware. According to Xbox Live director Larry Hryb, the update includes compatibility improvements with certain titles and additional support for network features.
In case you do not have access to Xbox Live, the update will be available for download directly from Microsoft’s official Xbox site later this week.
HD-DVD is now dead and gone, but at least Microsoft is continuing the support those who bought its product.
