In the latest edition of the KP Report podcast, host and Associate Producer at Kojima Productions Ryan Payton said that the original Metal Gear Solid, which recently hit the Japanese PlayStation Network as a downloadable PSOne title, could possibly be released stateside.

Payton noted that Konami is closely following sales of the title in Japan. If interest is high enough, then it will be considered for a release in other countries, such as the US and Europe.
