During GDC, Nintendo announced that some upcoming WiFi connection enabled titles would be pay to play. Meaning, you’d have to pay up to access certain content or features. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King is one of the these titles.

According to a translated report from Square Enix’s official Japanese page, three of game’s races, namely Yukes, Lilties and Selkies, can only be recruited by spending Wii Points to build housing for them. Alternate character costumes will be available for purchase as well.

Specific pricing has yet to be announced, but the content will cost between 100 and 300 Wii Points.
