Microsoft Keeps LIVE Fair, Punishes Cheaters

Using hacked game saves to gain Achievements and boost your Gamerscore? Don’t do it. Major Nelson issued a warning on this matter a few months ago, but now Microsoft is taking disciplinary action against cheaters.

The top offenders identified as violating the Xbox Live TOS today had their Gamerscore reset to a total of zero, and are now clearly labeled as a “dirty cheater” on their Gamercard. Additionally, the offenders will be unable to acquire previously obtained achievements.
