Konami revealed Otomedius, the successor to legendary 2D shoot ‘em up series Gradius and Parodius today at Japan’s AOU 2007. Otomedius is featured to include network multiplayer modes as well as a touch-screen control setup.

Can’t wait for this one, Konami never disappoints with their side-scrolling shmup’s.
