The Flash game Defend Your Castle is a classic. No doubt. When we first got wind of XGen’s intentions to release an full-fledged remake of the game on Nintendo’s WiiWare service, I was very excited.

Was my excitement warranted? I’d say so. XGen Studios have released an updated trailer showcasing the new Wii exclusive gameplay features and colorful visual style. It’s looking great, and should be fun to play in short bursts.

Defend Your Castle will launch alongside WiiWare on May 12.
