It appears this year’s installment of Call of Duty may be a follow-up to Black Ops, as a “retail source” has forwarded Kotaku an image of a promotional poster that hints at a possible reveal date.

Stamped on the poster is a May 2 date, with the subtext reading “Return for Debriefing,” which could be a reference to the conspiracy plotline in Black Ops. A blurred solider is depicted in the background, along with a Treyarch logo near the bottom.

Call of Duty titles traditionally release in the fall, with a reveal occurring just before E3 time — Modern Warfare 3 was announced in May of last year as well, so the timing seems right.
