Publisher Take-Two announced today that BioShock 2 is in development by 2K Marin and is planned for release in the company’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2009, which runs from August to October.

Platform specifics were not announced, but a release on both the Xbox 360 and PC is unquestionably likely.
