Activision Mulling Over Call of Duty MMO

by Mike Bendel on March 4, 2008 @ 11:54 pm

Activision is considering to take its widely successful Call of Duty franchise to the next level and turn it into a full blown massively multiplayer online experience.

Speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick told investors and analysts that it could, hypothetically, tap into the resources they now have at Blizzard to thrust Call of Duty into the MMO genre.

Of course, this is all just talk – it may never happen. But it’s certainly a possibility, now that Activision has the biggest player in the MMO field on their side.
