Hard Reset Getting Extended Edition, Hits UK Retail In 2012

Once digital-only, Flying Wild Hog’s frantic old-school FPS Hard Reset is receiving the retail treatment, with an Extended Edition due to hit UK shelves in 2012.

Still a PC exclusive, the effort will be published by Kalypso Media, featuring five new levels that add around two hours of gameplay over the original. Backed by an updated graphics engine, also promised are four new enemies and one new boss character.

While we thought it was an excellent no-frills shooter, most complaints centered on an abrupt ending and lack of enemy variety. Nice to see these gripes are being addressed.

It’s not clear yet if this is strictly a retail offering, or if existing owners of Hard Reset will be able to purchase the content as DLC.

2 more hours of gameplay? So litterally 50% more? I beat this sucker in just over 4... and I didn't even mean to rush through it. Good game, WAY too short and completely lacking multiplayer.
